With the final product holding parallax that was showcased we went live. They found that it drove more local businesses to advertise with TEGNA by 35%. The increase advertising through streaming and live TV gained local businesses more customers that they were missing.
After the wireframing process pieces were chosen by stakeholders on what they liked and didn't, which then led to the Hi-fidelity design and testing. I created the hi-fidelity design in about 3 days which I quickly tested with people in the office to make sure the user journey was as predicted.
I then mocked up what it would look like to parallax and shareholders agreed that the motion of the parallax was a good choice and we started creating it into a live webpage.
With my background from Comcast Media Technology Center, and my understanding in UX UI design I was tasked with designing out a template that would be used for our ad sales marketing department to have a tailored-to-area webpage for locals to advertise on TEGNA channels. The first area that was asked for was Arizona. I designed out the page and then worked closely with the developer to create the webpage on Wordpress.
The timeline of this page was about 2 weeks to design and 3 weeks to develop. I started quickly creating some wireframes and parameters just to get some ideas on the ground of where content would go and how the user would travel on the page.
TEGNA’s main point of revenue is through Ad’s with local businesses. To gain traction on this, TEGNA wanted to create a web page for people to go to and see how they could advertise through their local news stations, and see testimonies from people that have. I ad a person from the dev team were tasked with creating a template that could be implemented into their wordpress site. They also wanted it to be easy for anyone to go in and change out photos, location, and testimonials. I created the design while I worked closely with the developer, Dave, to create the web page.
